Karl Burke is a great trainer and his horses are often primed for a big run second start. High Draw was nibbled at in the betting on debut and that is a positive sign. This three-year-old has respectable win and place claims.

Not as a strong opinion on this horse although a very well-bred three-year-old. I'm sure connections have been rather frustrated by Verne Castle. In some ways, he hasn't been beaten far but better was expected. The betting on those first two starts detailed a winner in waiting. This doesn't look the strongest race and at about 8/1 may have each-way claims. This gelding was meant to run before but withdrawn due to soft going. I have detailed a couple of these type for Balding before and they haven't achieved what I hoped which tempers my enthusiasm. However, I do think he is ready to run and trying his best.
